Steve Azzara is a Bronx, New York based photographer who has been actively taking photographs since shooting the people on his block at age 14. While still in high school, after shooting a Rod Stewart Concert, he brought the images to Stewart’s hotel room the following day and Stewart used them on his next album. Upon graduation, Azzara went on the road with Sly And The Family Stone. That experience led to several album covers and magazine assignments including Rolling Stone, Time, People, Vogue, and Elle. He acknowledges some influences from Richard Avedon, Francesco Scavullo and Arthur Elgot. Azzara has produced such books as NAKED and IMPORTRAITS. In 2006 he was named Director of Photography for Supermodels Unlimited. Over the years, he has taken portraits of many popular celebrities. Azzara’s shots of Kaitlyn in this exhibition are a part of his “10 Sizes Too Big” Series where he asked 40 nude models to put on his oversized jeans to see how they dealt with the situation.

Kaitlyn explored that suggestion and is now a full time model.
