VOLLEYBALL OVER THE HOOSAC

It is clear that most people see the concrete channel sections of the Hoosac River as drainage ditches or flood control chutes. The message of my VOLLEYBALL OVER THE HOOSAC is to dramatize the potential future recreation values of a Downtown Riverwalk. What is now a piece of a 50 year old flood control technology could be transformed into a friendly and playful zone one day in the near future. Also, by spanning the North and South Sides of the river the Volleyball Net is also meant to connect the spirit of these two sections of North Adams.
