UNDERCURRENT is a light installation that explores the water current of the Hoosac River. Sometimes referred to as "the chute", this section of the Hoosac River can be a strong force of water that has been constructed to flow fast and compactly in one direction with little deviation. But, rivers do what they want better than what they're told, and the chute still has similar nuances and traits of a natural river. UNDERCURRENT helps visitors to the river to visualize the force and the water patterns of the river.
